DM Kohima informs on road stretch closure

DIMAPUR, OCT 22 (NPN): The road stretch from Medical College Junction to BSF Camp Road Junction would remain closed to all vehicular traffic from October 23 to November 20, 2026, in view of the ongoing concrete pavement construction work.
In an order, district magistrate (DM) Kohima, B Henok Buchem, informed that the closure has been necessitated in the interest of public safety and to ensure timely completion of the construction project.
During the closure period, all heavy, light and medium vehicles would be diverted via NH-29 through Tinpatti-Don Bosco-Kiyake/BSF Camp.
However, light and medium vehicles belonging to local residents of the affected area would be permitted to use the closed stretch. Such traffic would be regulated and monitored by the project site crew.
The general public and commuters have been requested to extend their cooperation and bear with the inconvenience during the construction period.
