Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has started its 2nd phase of development activities in Dimapur. With the launching of its 2nd phase development activities, DMC has cleaned clogged drainages and constructed footpath on a large scale at both sides of the road from MP road starting from Durga Mandir intersection towards Bata Charali is underway.
DMC Administrator, H Atokhe Aye, has informed the PWD and BSNL departments that several pipes belonging to them passing through the drains on both sides of the roads was blocking smooth passage of wastes and obstructing sanitation works.
DMC has requested both the departments to find some alternative in order to pave way for smooth clearing of the drainage in the areas.
