DMC asks shops to open on Sundays

In view of the forthcoming festive season, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has asked all the shopkeepers and business establishments under its jurisdiction to keep their shops open on all Sundays effecting from September 25, 2016 so as to facilitate the costumers in marketing of their respective festivals.
In a notification, DMC administrator, H. Atokhe Aye, however, stated that all categories of vendors, especially secondhand clothes, vegetable and other vendors, were not allowed to sit on the roadside along GS Road, Nyamo Lotha Road to Deluxe Point and from Clock Tower point to NST Central Works shop, Khermohal (Tata Parking). Dimapur Municipal Council administrator stated that the order would come into force with immediate effect and remain in force till January 1, 2017.
