In view of the Durga Puja celebration, Dimapur Municipal Council has urged the Hindu community to ensure a clean, green, and zero-waste Durga Puja celebration. In a circular, CEO Thungchanbemo Tungoe advised avoiding single-use plastic, adopt efficient waste management, increased cleaning frequency, and maintaining toilets to promote Swachhata. It also called for community cooperation in keeping streets clean, prevent pollution, and replace disposable items with reusable alternatives to promote cleaner and healthier environment.
