Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has directed lessee/contractors to strictly adhere to the terms and conditions of the lease agreement and not to indulge in any collection of amount contrary to the rate fixed by DMC. In a notice, DMC administrator Albert Ezung warned that any violation or deviation with its directives would result in automatic termination of the lease/contract besides other penal action. DMC has noted that some of the DMC lessees/contractor, urban utility fees collection, were issuing duplicate (xerox) challan instead of original receipt issued.
DMC notifies traders: DMC has notified all the shop owners/traders under its jurisdiction to purchase alternative plastic bags such as cloths/jute/paper bags etc. from its office at nominal market rate.
