Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) cleared drainage along Kalibari Road, Dimapur on Thursday.
According to DMC release, the council staff encountered problems in effective clearing owing to various cables and pipes underneath the drainage.
In this regard, the DMC has appealed the concerned departments to look into the matter within one week.
Meanwhile, DMC Administrator, H. Atokhe Aye has appealed the public not to throw solid wastes into the drainage as it obstructs smooth flow of sewage. With the onset of monsoon, he said more instances of clogged drains could take place if such wastes were senselessly dumped into drainage.
