DMC councillors supervise drain clearance

In continuation of the drain clearance drive, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), representatives from Ward No. 5, Kuhoi Zhimo, Ward No. 22, Kivikali Yepthomi, and Ward No. 4, Hemlu Gongmei, supervised cleanliness drive to clear clogged drains in their respective wards on April 1.

Given their proximity and interconnected drainage systems, the initiative was carried out collaboratively to ensure effective water flow.
With the rainy season fast approaching, the Councillors have prioritized this task to prevent waterlogging and related inconveniences.

Meanwhile, the councillors extended appreciation to their respective GBs, chairmen, and residents for their support. They also acknowledged the DMC for providing logistical assistance in executing the drain clearance work.

The cleanliness drive will continue on April 2, 2025, in the Old Overbridge Colony under Ward No. 5. Residents of the area have been requested to cooperate and participate in the initiative to ensure success.
