DMC directs shopkeepers, traders

Dimapur municipal council (DMC) has directed all the traders and shopkeepers to maintain dustbins and throw the waste garbage between 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

In a press release, DMC administrator, Albert Ezung informed that the timing was fixed during sanitation branch DMC on July 16, 2021. The administrator stated that most of the shopkeepers and traders were found throwing garbages on the road causing inconvenience to the public and health hazard.

Further, DMC warned that appropriate action leading to imposition of heavy penalty and closure of shop would be imposed on shopkeepers and traders who failed to comply with the directive.
