DMC fixes mutton rate in Dimapur

Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has enhanced the rate of mutton items in Dimapur from the existing DMC rates after considering the representation submitted to the council by Mutton Seller of Dimapur.
A press release by Dimapur Municipal Council administrator, Moa Sangtam, has informed that after going through the representations and having discussed at length and comparing with the rate from the neighbouring state, Assam, Dimapur Municipal Council has enhanced the rate with immediate effect.
The new rate are as follows: mutton (khasi) Rs, 500 per kg; mutton (non khasi) Rs. 450 per kg and offal (head, hoff, intestine etc.) Rs. 200 per kg.
Dimapur Municipal Council has informed that the prescribed rate as the maximum amount which was to be strictly followed by the mutton seller(s) and warned that appropriate action would be initiated against the defaulters.
