DMC notifies revised labour and construction rates

DIMAPUR

The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has officially issued a revised rate chart for construction materials and labour wages under its jurisdiction, effective immediately.
In a press release, Chief Executive Officer of DMC, Thungchanbemo Tungoe has the rate revision, aimed at standardizing payment structures and protecting both workers and consumers, through a formal order.
The updated notification outlines fixed rates for various sectors including civil construction, carpentry, painting, tiling, steel fabrication, plumbing, and electrical works. The DMC emphasized that these rates represent the maximum chargeable limits and are to be strictly adhered to by all individuals and contractors within Dimapur.
The council has cautioned that non-compliance with these rates will attract legal action as per existing municipal regulations.
