DMMDH Wokha marks one year of Sunday Service

CorrespondentWOKHA, OCT 19 (NPN)

Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH), Wokha, held a Thanksgiving Service at the hospital’s Chapel Hall on October 19 to commemorate one year of its Sunday Service initiative, launched in September 2024.
The initiative was introduced to provide hospital staff—often on duty even on Sundays—an opportunity to worship and seek spiritual strength within the hospital premises.
Addressing the gathering, Medical Superintendent Dr. N. Mhonchan Kithan said the service was started to help staff attend worship and pray for patients, while also uplifting their moral and spiritual well-being. He expressed gratitude to God and emphasized that thanksgiving nurtures spiritual growth and contributes to physical and mental health. He also acknowledged the support of visiting churches for sharing God’s word and strengthening the faith of medical personnel.
Guest speaker Mhademo Ngullie, Music Director of Wokha Town Baptist Church, spoke on the significance of gratitude, encouraging the congregation to thank God not only for blessings received but also in advance and during trials. He urged all to remain steadfast in faith and live as grateful Christians.
The programme was chaired by Staff Nurse R. Ayala. Invocation was led by General Surgeon Dr. Visazotuo, offertory prayer by Psychiatric Nurse Lireni Tungoe, special song by Staff Nurse Areni, and Bible reading by Lokyonglo. The service concluded with a mass spoken prayer.
