After receiving a written memo from Station Manager, NF Railway Dimapur, the duty officer along with duty party of Dimapur police on March 15 rushed to the spot and found one unidentified non-local male age around 40-45 yrs (approx.) lying dead outside the rail track suspected to be knocked down by a running train.
According to deputy commissioner of police (crime) PRO Dimapur, the body was found at km 253/7-8 towards Rangapahar end. On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Morgue for PM examination and identification.
The man was found wearing blue track pant, blue sweater with yellow t-shirt and white sneaker, complexion – dark. Claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Govt. Railway Police Station, Dimapur at 7085055021.
