Dimapur Nkonjan Nyiro Range Ekliiing (DNNRE) has extended unflinching support to the demand of Lotha Hoho (LH) and Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) for implementation of delimitation exercise in the state based either on 2001 census or on 2011 census without any bias.
A press release by DNNRE chairman Chiporao Ngullie and general secretary, Sacheo Ezung stated that, the question of rejecting/opposing the 2001 census does not arise. DNNRE urge the state government and the Delimitation Commission of India to stand in truth and carry out the delimitation exercise as per the Delimitation Act, 2002 without any hesitation. It also asked to expedite the delimitation process judiciously in order to safeguard/uphold the sanctity and supremacy of the constitution and the integrity of the democracy.
DNNRE also pointed out that Naga solution is purely different issue, and there was no connection between delimitation and the Naga solution.
