DNSU reminder on tuition fees, hostel registration

Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has issued a reminder on the tuition fees and hostel registration under its jurisdiction. 

In a press release, DNSU president, Sedevilie Angami  and secretary education and statistics, Tenyebinlo Himb, stated that teachers should accommodate maximum seven students per batch for five days in a week for tuition; while for home tuition, minimum days for tuition has been set three days with maximum three students per batch. 
The fee has been fixed at Rs. 500 per student for Class A -10; Rs. 800 per student for Class 11-12 and for home tuition, Rs. 2500 for Class A-10 and Rs. 3500 for Class 11-12. 
The union also said that it has come to their notice that some hostels/PGs were running without proper facilities and infrastructure.
In this regard, DNSU has cautioned the proprietors to run separate hostels and wardens for boys and girls and made it mandatory for the hostels to keep a warden.
The student body has also appealed to the proprietors to consider the mess fees for holiday period. 
The union also pointed out that 90% were running without proper registration and therefore asked them to comply with the set rules by the concerned department by registering with the government and obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the DNSU office on or before August 21.
