DoHE signs MoU with Reliance JioNet

Directorate of Higher Education (DoHE) Nagaland has signed MoU with Reliance JioNet on Wednesday at Directorate of Higher Education Kohima.
The MoU was signed by director higher education, Kuholi Chishi and Reliance corporate Mumbai, vice president,    Balasubramaniam Iyer.
According to MoU Reliance JioNet would provide high-speed WiFi connection to 17 government colleges across Nagaland.
Terming the signing as “historic” for the department, Chishi thanked Reliance Jio for providing free and uninterrupted services to the students at their colleges. 
She said with this facilities students would be able to update the students on the latest happenings and help them to gather knowledge from around the world. In his address, Lyer said Jio Digital Life in college campus would bring revolutionary change where the students would have access to all internet facilities along with the rest of the world. 
He said the company was empowering youth in the country and was committed to bring complete change in education and health sectors in the country by providing the much needed facilities. 
Lyer also highlighted the various plans and programmes of Jio and also new projects to be launched.   The programme was attended by principals of various government colleges, DHE officials, officials of Reliance Jio from Guwahati, Shillong, Mumbai, Dimapur and Kohima.
