Don’t compromise on safety measures: Chümou unit CPO

Chümoukedima Unit under CPO while welcoming the ongoing expansion of road has reminded the concern department and its agencies not to over look the safety measures that are prerequisite for the commuters as well as people living besides the highway.

In a press release, Chümoukedima Unit (CPO) president, Rünavilhou Kin referred to the July 26 accident at 7th Mile Dimapur where two persons were killed when a large tree fell on a taxi they were travelling. 
The unit said it has taken serious note of “shifting the blame from one to another” and warned that such practices could never be accepted nor compromised at any cost.
Further, the unit has appealed all collaborating department and its agencies to have proper coordination while executing works that may took place at any public vicinity. It has also appealed the concern department and its agencies to compensate the victims as per the law of land.
Meanwhile, the unit conveyed condolences on the tragic deaths and prayed that the Almighty God would comfort the bereaved families.
