In continuation of its efforts of mainstreaming Out of School Children (OoSC), Department of School Education (DoSE) has appealed for registration of out of school children in the age group of 6-16 years.
In a press release, DoSE principal director, Thavaseelan K has appealed members of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), municipal/town/village councils, churches, student unions and the general public to register details out of school children in the age group of 6-16 years (children who are not enrolled in any school or dropped out at any stage before completing secondary education) at the DoSE, Nagaland online education services portal https://dosenl.in
The principal director said registering the children would enable the department to device mechanism for arranging special training and mainstreaming the OoSC in appropriate classes at neighbouring government schools/national open school.
