DoSE cautions govt schools charging excess fee

Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has come to learn of certain government schools charging fees higher than those specified by the department in its notification dated June 17, 2022, approved by the government on June 9, 2022, and reaffirmed in a subsequent notification on January 25, 2024.


According to DIPR, the notice also emphasized on points 3 and 4 of the Revised Fee Structure for Government Schools dated June 17, 2022– 3. Schools providing Uniforms, T. Shirts, Neck Tie, Belt etc. shall get the rates approved by the respective School Management and Development Committees (SMDCs) and 4. NBSE fee shall be modified in accordance with the notifications being issued by the Board from time to time. In this regard, all concerned have been cautioned to strictly adhere to the Fee Structure notified by the department.
