DoSE clarifies on SMILE App

On receiving numerous queries regarding issues with the Smart attendance Management and Informative Leave (SMILE) App, the Department of School Education (DoSE) has assured that those concerns have been acknowledged and were being actively addressed.

The department recently notified that SMILE App would be implemented across Nagaland in all government schools and establishments under DoSE from February 1, 2025. In a notification, principal director school education, Thavaseelan K informed that the SMILE App has been updated since the pilot phase in May 2024.

Therefore, to ensure that all employees have the latest version, the department has informed all responsible to uninstall the old app SMILE App and download the latest version of SMILE App, which is available on Google Play Store for Android phones and Apple App Store for Apple phones.

If unable to mark attendance due to network issues, one could switch to offline mode and once the network was available and stable, go back online to sync the attendance, the department stated. For any other queries, one could reach out to helpline service numbers: 6909644519, 8974102488 and 6900222184.
