DoSE declares Sep 6 as holiday for schools

In honour of teachers, the department of school education has informed that September 6, 2024 has been declared as a holiday for all government and private schools functioning within the state of Nagaland.


DoSE notifies regulations on working days for schools: The department has also notified that all the schools (both government and private) functioning under the department of school education would adhere to the regulations with regard to the working days for schools.


The department informed that all Saturdays would be observed as holidays for the foundational stage (Classes A & B, Classes 1 & 2) and Preparatory Stage (Classes 3 to 5).
For the other stages including middle (classes 6 to 8), secondary/higher secondary (classes 9 to 12), it stated that the second and fourth Saturdays of every month would be observed as Holidays.


Further, it stated that assessments/examinations, 10 bagless days and other non-academic activities/sports events could be held on Saturdays as per the school’s context.
