DoSE informs on teachers awards

Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has notified that online self-nomination for the National Teachers Award 2025 has been opened.
A DIPR report informed that DoSE has invited interested teachers to submit their applications through the portal nationalawardstoteachers.education.gov.in from June 23 to July 15, 2025.
Only regular teachers and heads of schools with a minimum of 10 years of service will be eligible for nomination. The award is aimed at recognising those who have shown dedication in improving the quality of education and positively impacted students’ lives.
Meanwhile, the department has also invited nominations for the District/State Teachers Awards 2025.
Eligible teachers serving in government and private schools under the state curriculum may be nominated by administrative officers, heads of institutions or NGOs working in the field of education.
Nomination forms and guidelines will be available at all District Education Offices and on the DoSE website.
Teachers with permanent disability, those suffering from terminal illness or undergoing prolonged treatment, or those affected by severe natural calamities without receiving relief from other sources may also apply for financial assistance. The last date for submission of applications for financial aid is July 20, 2025.
