Doyang Queens win; Tizu Warriors vs Milak Royals match abandoned

DIMAPUR, MAY 11 (NPN): The Women’s Champions Trophy 2026 witnessed contrasting outcomes on Monday, with Doyang Queens securing a commanding victory over Dhansiri Titans, while the clash between Tizu Warriors and Milak Royals at G.N.R Ground was abandoned due to a wet outfield.
At the Sovima Cricket Ground, Doyang Queens continued their impressive run with a comprehensive 53-run win. A disciplined batting performance laid the foundation, with Merensola playing a pivotal role in stabilizing the innings. She later shone with the ball as well, earning the Player of the Match award for her all-round contribution.
Chasing the target, Dhansiri Titans faltered against the disciplined bowling attack of Doyang Queens. They were bundled out for just 51 runs, unable to recover from the consistent pressure applied by the opposition. Alongside Merensola, Kevisenuo Krabvu also delivered an impactful spell, ensuring regular breakthroughs that sealed the contest in Doyang Queens’ favour.
Meanwhile, the scheduled encounter between Tizu Warriors and Milak Royals at G.N.R Ground was called off without a ball being bowled due to an unplayable wet outfield. Both teams shared points from the abandoned fixture.
With this result, Doyang Queens strengthened their campaign with another dominant display, while the Warriors and Royals will look to regroup in their upcoming matches.
