
District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Mon held its meeting on September 13 in the conference room of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office under the chairmanship of DC Mon, Thavaseelan K.
According to a DIPR report, the board approved following proposals to be forwarded to the concerned departments: selection of semi-intensive Mithun rearing farm at Nyahnyu village; proposal for creation of sub-division veterinary office (SDVD) at Tizit.
The board also deliberated on reviving officer’s club Mon office-bearers and formed a search committee for the same.
The search committee would be headed by ADC Mon, Chingak Konyak and additional SP Mon, T. Ado Yanlem. SDO (C) Angjangyang, Yanithung Ngullie highlighted the board that officer’s club Mon was the only district club in the state with facilities such as the indoor stadium for badminton and table tennis, snooker, carrom, gym, lounge, mini library.
He urged the members to be active at the club so that there could be more interactions and communications among the officers making work easier to be executed. New members of the board, additional superintendent of police Mon, T. Ado Yanlem and assistant sericulture officer, Keneizetuo Khro were introduced.
The meeting was attended by district heads of departments and officers.
Mangkolemba: Mangkolemba Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) held its monthly meeting on September 10, in the Dobashi Court Mangkolemba under the chairmanship of advisor treasuries & account, national highway, Dr. Longrineken and in presence of minister for higher education & tribal affairs, Temjen Inna Along.
After reviewing the last SDPDB meeting minutes, the house discussed the following agendas: proposal of upgradation of Mangkolemba sub division into full-fledged district; proposal for construction of guest house at Nokpu village under tribal affairs department; application for registration of Medemmera women multipurpose Society Mangkolemba.
It also discussed improvement of power supply in Mangkolemba and street lighting in the town; status of hospital and COVID-19 update; proposal for improvement of Mangkolemba-Longnak road and connecting road to JNV Longnak; proposal for starting fire & emergency service in Mangkolemba and construction of a common toilet for SDEO office Mangkolemba.
