The monthly Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at the DPDB Hall, Kohima, on March 11, 2025.
According to DIPR report, vice- chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, who chaired the meeting, reviewed the developmental schemes in the district.
General manager of DIC Kohima, Ahunle Tep, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the Industries and Commerce Department in Kohima district. She provided an overview of the general administrative setup and the various schemes implemented under DIC Kohima.
She informed that Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) was a credit-linked subsidy scheme launched by the Government of India to promote self-employment through the establishment of micro-enterprises. She added that online applications can be submitted at www.kviconline.gov.in.
She also highlighted the PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, which aims to enhance the competitiveness of micro food processing enterprises. Under this scheme, pickle production has been adopted in Kohima.
Further, she also provided insights into various other schemes, including Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM VIKAS) Scheme, Udyam Registration, Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme
The Power Department has been entrusted to deliver a PowerPoint presentation at the next Kohima DPDB meeting.
Earlier, the board also welcomed new member, District Soil Conservation Officer Kohima, Renthunglo Tungoe. The board also decided to approve and forward the Ex-Servicemen League Nagaland, Midland Kohima, to the higher authorities for society registration.
