DPDB meeting held in Mokokchung

Monthly meeting of Mokokchung district planning and development board (DPDB) was held on February 25 at ADC (planning) conference hall, Mokokchung.

According to DIPR report, as decided and assigned to the Medical department during the last DPDB meeting to project the urgent requirements in the district health sector, chief medical officer Mokokchung and medical superintendent IMDH apprised the board on the absence of medical equipments in the district hospital such as ultra sound machine, silent generator, shortage of water supply and diversion of main road which passes through the vicinity of the hospital.

Further, shortage of men power in most PHCs in the district was also addressed and proposal for construction of PHC building at Ungma village was put forwarded by the department. The board deliberated on the issues and decided to approach the concern department as well as to look out for assistance from other avenues.

During the meeting, the board constituted a committee with representation from allied departments to study the feasibility on adopting Satier under Aliba village jurisdiction as a growth centre.

Meanwhile, the board agreed and forwarded to the concern authority for registration of the green team society, Tongdentsuyong ward, Mokokchung and Fazl Ali College alumni association, Mokokchung.

Earlier, the meeting was chaired by Limawapang Jamir, vice chairman and deputy commissioner, Mokokchung.
