
The monthly Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on December 8 in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Peren. The meeting was chaired by DC and DPDB Peren vice-chairman, Sentiwapang Aier.
According to a DIPR report, while reviewing the last meeting minutes, the DC reminded the district office heads to submit the accurate SDG data within one week. The house also reviewed the agendas for setting up of a public park at New Peren and after a deliberation decided to approve and put forward for necessary action.
During the meeting, GHSS Peren principal said the school building was established in the year 1947 and was in a dilapidated condition.
She submitted the agenda for renovation of classrooms and construction of additional three to four rooms for science lab.
After views and suggestions, the board agreed to endorse the proposal and further directed the principal to prepare necessary and relevant documents in support of the proposal.
The house also approved proposal for registration of Mithun Society, Tening Village which was forwarded by ADC Tening.
Meanwhile, DC Peren shared concerns with regard to the low coverage of vaccination drive in the district. He said that assistance from the district heads and stakeholders were required in order to ensure 100% successful vaccination drives.
Discussion with regard to strict monitoring of vaccination card at check gates, village adoptions where vaccination coverage was low was also held at the meeting.
