District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meetings were held in Tuensang and Kiphire on April 8, to discuss various issues as well as agendas for the development of the districts.
Tuensang: Tuensang DPDB meeting was held at deputy commissioner (DC)’s conference hall. The meeting was chaired by DC and DPDB Tuensang vice chairman, Kumar Ramnikant.
According to DIPR report, the members discussed the agenda on transferring Chingmelen, Helipong and Sipongsang villages from Sotokur EAC administrative circle to Tuensang district administrative circle and decided to forward it to the government for further action. District level committee for aspirational block Chessore was set up with the following members: CMO, EE (R&B), EE (power); DAO (Agri); DHO (Horti); district soil conservation officer; PD land resource; DEO (education); DFO (forest); PD RD; DWO and president YTC.
The house deliberated on upgrading class V to class VIII of Mount Sinai School Longkhim, improvement of road between main road to Imlong Theological college campus and financial assistance in construction of badminton court at GHSS Thangjam. The house decided to contribute for the same. Proposal for registration of Grace Ministry welfare society at Chessore village was discussed and agreed to send to the government for registration.
The board also invited the general manager of state bank of India and discussed on loopholes in the functioning, its service policies and for better delivery of services in the district. Representatives of NHIDCL were also invited to the meeting to discuss the ongoing work between Mokokchung and Tuensang. The representatives gave details of the work programme.
NHIDCL was advised to complete the works with best workmanship and within stipulated time.
District welfare officer presented a PowerPoint presentation on the departmental activities where cases of non-beneficiaries of potential section of people were discussed and agreed to write to government for the same.
Kiphire: Kiphire district planning and development board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner & DPDB Vice-chairman, T. Wati Aier. According to DIPR report, the house deliberated on setting up of carpentry training institute at Sangphure and decided to put forward the proposal to the higher ups for further necessary actions.
Meanwhile, power department was entrusted to present PowerPoint presentation in the next DPDB meeting. The new officers, PD, DRDA Kiphire, Taliyanger and SRCS (ARCS), K. Liricham Anar were also introduced to the house.
