
The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Zunheboto was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) under the chairmanship of DC Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo on Wednesday.
According to a DIPR report, the board meeting began with introduction of new members and was followed up by review of previous meeting minutes.
In an issue raised by one of the members with regard to the need of fire and emergency services station at sub-divisions, the board discussed that unlike many other sub-divisions from other districts, sub-divisions under Zunheboto district were yet to have a fire and emergency services station stationed at its jurisdictions.
The board acknowledging the importance of the issue decided to formulate further and administrative heads were notified to update the details in the next board meeting.
DC lauded the efforts put together by PWD in improving some key routes under their jurisdictions connecting Zunheboto to other districts and also appealed to the HoD to continue doing so in other possible ways.
The members discussed the issue of taxi fare in the district and not having proper uniformity in its inter and intra district fare rates to which it concluded with the decision of following the rates which was agreed during the previous meeting, held in the month of march 2021.
The administrative heads were also informed to properly monitor if the rates were being followed.
The board decided to monitor through proper channel the legality, rates and quality of LPG and fuel depots in the district.
Tuensang: The Tuensang DPDB meeting was held in the conference hall of the DC Tuensang on December 7 under the chairmanship of ADC Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma.
The meeting began with a minute of silence for the victims of Oting village, Mon.
The departments of the district were asked to write to the DC’s office to survey all the government land and plots and submit to Land Record and Survey Office in order to come out with proper mapping of the departmental lands for future references.
The District Aids Prevention and Control Unit Tuensang also came out with an agenda proposing for the interdepartmental consultative meeting on awareness campaign for the HIV prevalence in the district.
PowerPoint presentation was presented by DRDA, Tuensang on implementations of projects and schemes in its blocks and departmental functioning in the district. ADC Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma encouraged the line departments to work in convergence while implementing Gram Gram Panchayats development plan to successfully execute the developmental plans in the villages.
