DPDB Mokokchung to take up 3 initiatives

Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) at its monthly meeting held on September 4 has decided to take up three initiatives.


The initiatives were- procuring of ambulance with life support system, installing 5 metric ton cold storage at Mokokchung Municipal Council complex and to replace plastic with eco friendly banana stem fiber bags for which machine would be procured and installed.


According to DIPR report, apart from the meeting which was held at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung under the chairmanship of NLA speaker and Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sharingain Longkumer has also deliberated on the new project of up gradation of IMDH which have been delayed.


It was decided that an urgent meeting would be held with the department concern and the contractor to find out the reason for completion of the project. DEO Mokokchung while giving the status report of capital assets of the department also informed the house that construction of Auditorium, library and laboratory at MGHSS which was started in 2014 have not been completed till now. On this matter, the chairman DPDB asked the DEO Mokokchung to give a detail report within two-week time for further action.


In the meeting, ten departments gave the status report of capital assets while the remaining departments were informed to present the same in the next DPDB meeting.
