DPDB Phek welcomes new DC

The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Phek held its monthly meeting on September 15 at the DPDB Hall in Phek and welcomed the newly appointed DC and vice chairman DPDB, Kuko Mero.


According to a DIPR report, the session was chaired by Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs and chairman DPDB Phek, K. G. Kenye. Highlighting Kuko Mero’s past tenure in Phek, Kenye expressed confidence in the new DC’s familiarity with his responsibilities, ensuring the smooth administration of the district DC Phek, Kuko Mero, in his remark, sought cooperation from district officers and civil societies for effective administration. He further emphasized on the importance of dutiful service and positive collaboration among the heads of various departments.


The meeting also touched upon plans for the forthcoming celebration of Phek district’s 50th anniversary. Allocations for the milestone event, slated for December 21, 2023, were announced by advisor for New & Renewal Energy & Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe. Advisor for Civil Administration Works Division & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo urged for judicious fund utilization for the celebrations.
K.G. Kenye emphasized efficient budget management for the upcoming event. Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA, SP Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra, president CPO and president Pochury Hoho also addressed the attendees.
