DPDB, SDPDB meetings held in three districts

Monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) and Sub Division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meetings were held in Noklak, Pughoboto and Tseminyu to discuss various agendas and developmental projects. 

Noklak DPDB approves various proposals

Noklak DPDB meeting was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) on September 9, under the chairmanship of chairman DPDB Noklak and advisor fisheries, evaluation & economics & statistics, L. Khumo. 

According to a DIPR report, the house discussed and approved various proposals to be forwarded to the concerned higher up authority for necessary consideration. 

During the meeting, the members approved: submission of existing site map and proposal site of DC complex at Noklak; proposals for construction of DC residence, flat type quarters for officers and GA rest house at Noklak headquarter; proposals for requirement of land for Police at Noklak headquarter; proposal development goals (SDGs) coordination cells in respect of Noklak district. 

The house also discussed: to operate/run local taxi service in Noklak town and request for approval of local taxi fare by the DPDB; request for approval of DDMA JCB monitoring committee and guidelines for hiring; officers clubs Noklak matter; adoption of Noklak town by DPDB; establishment of treasury office at Noklak; accidentals insurance scheme and proposal for upgradation of government middle school at Chilliso village under SAMAGRA; construction of school building in Jejeiking and Pangking villages and renovation of school building in pang GPS and construction of EAC quarter at Panso.

During the meeting, AT department highlighted the activities of department.

Pughoboto SDPDB discuss developmental projects  Pughoboto SDPDB meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDPDB chairman, Y. Vikheho Swu, MLA in the DB court hall, Pughoboto on September 10.

During the meeting, ADC Thungchanbemo Tungoe reviewed the last meeting minutes and discussions on proper graveyard was held.

The MLA urged village council to maintain the graveyard in a proper place instead of the road side area and use the grant in-aid, NREGRS fund judiciously for village development.

The board resolved to direct all the village council not to bury the dead on the road side. In presence of the Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho president Inavi Swu, highlighted Pughoboto ADC upgradation to district and decided to reiterate the same genuine demand to the government.

The board also resolved to stop blank cheques signed by any village council authority in case some were still practicing it.

To progress the development activities and for good workmanship in the division, the house suggested that NREGS would not sanction without the SDPDB approval. All officers were also asked to keep the village council updated about on various projects implemented by the government. The house decided to write a letter to PWD Tseminyu to maintain the road which is under their jurisdiction from Khashanyu Junction towards Pughoboto. CDPO, Ghatashi, Chiro highlighted month long Poshan Abhiyan activities in the division, Dr. Vikhashe briefed about Covid related issues and BDO Ghathashi highlighted the funding pattern changes which were being credited to the beneficiary accounts.

Special guest, SFS deputy director, Obed Bohovi who presented the prospects of Shitake (lentinula) mushroom cultivation stressed on its health benefits and marketing opportunity.

On “Green Pughoboto”, Pughoboto forest ranger, Kihoto gave a PowerPoint presentation on various activities and programmes taken up by the department.

With regard to various development programmes, the MLA stressed on JAICA schemes, NRLM and NHP provided by the government.

In the meeting, ADC distributed medicines, wheelchairs and other materials to the health centres which were procured under LADF 20-21.

The house also welcomed new members SDPO Pughoboto, Akhelo Chiso, Dr. Vikashe Swu and others.

Tseminyu SDPDB discuss upgrading of Kandinu GHS 

SDPDB Tseminyu division was held a meeting at ADC conference hall Tseminyu with chairman SDPDB & advisor animal husbandry & women development, R. Khing.

The house reviewed the previous meeting minutes and recommended the upgradation of Kandinu Government High School (GHS) to Government Higher Secondary School.

The meeting also discussed proposal for land requisition of side for Model College at Tseminyu.

The meeting was chaired by ADC Tseminyu, Manpai Phom.
