Monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) and Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meetings were held across districts.
In Wokha, the meeting was chaired by Vice/Chairman DPDB and DC, Wokha Wezope Kenye at DC conference hall, Wokha on July 7.
During the meeting, new members namely District Horticulture Officer Medemshiba and E.E. (R&B) Baghty, Chenithung Ngullie were introduced to the members present.
Finalization of LADP 2017-18 and Common Pool scheme for four Assembly Constituencies of Wokha district was approved at the meeting. The board has also approved to take up development and beautification of Tsumang Lake under Urban Development department.
Department of excise presented the activities and programme of the department.
Further, the chairman of the meeting has informed principal Mt.Tiyi College, GHSS and Taxes department to present their activities in next meeting.
Pughoboto: SDPDB vice chairman and ADC, Avelu Ruho chaired the meeting at the ADC office. The house welcomed two new members, EAC Ghathashi Nuhuta and SDO (R&B) Akumyanger on July 7.
The house also deliberated on the transportation problem faced while transporting S.K. Oil from Zunheboto Hq. In this regard, the house has decided to write to the department.
Agenda on opening of SBI branch at Pughoboto town which was approved in the earlier board meeting was also taken up for discussion and decoded to pursue the matter again. The house also distributed work assignments to the departments for smooth conduct of forthcoming Independence Day and also agreed to organise social work on August 13.
Longleng: Parliamentary secretary land resource and excise and chairman DPDB Longleng, B.S. Nganlang reviewed the previous agendas at the monthly meeting of DPDB held at the conference hall of DC office on July 6.
He also welcomed the new members, lauded the DPDB members for their active participation in the meetings.
Also, in support of Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC), Nganlang sought voluntary donation from DPDB members for renovation of Changtongnya and Longleng road which is in a deplorable condition.
He asserted that many lives were lost and caused problems to the people due to the depilated condition of the road. He also donated Rs. 50,000 towards renovation of the road.
The board also approved the LADP schemes for the current year 2017-18 for two Assembly constituencies.
ADC Longleng, Temsu Wati in his speech urged the heads of offices to submit the shortfall of officers and staffs in their respective department to the district administration for necessary arrangement for the forthcoming general election. He also asked the PPC to report the progress of the road renovation in the next DPDB meeting.
Earlier, the PPC president, Chingan briefed the house regarding deplorable road condition between Longleng and Changtongnya.
He informed that PPC would take initiative in renovation of the road from July 8 and therefore, urged the members for contribution.
