DPON seeks compensation for slain lineman

Expressing grief over the “un-natural demise” of Sandesh Nunisa, a lineman of power department who was electrocuted while on duty, Dimasa Public Organisation, Nagaland (DPON) urged the authority to thoroughly inquire about the incident.

In a press release, DPON president K Naben requested the department to evolve a mechanism to avoid recurrence of such accident in future. DPON also asked the department to compensate for the loss of life by appointing a family member on compassionate ground.
