Delhi Public School (DPS) Dimapur conducted its 18th annual sports day at its school ground here on March 4.
The event was graced by DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan as special guest. In his speech, the DC encouraged the students to balance their academics, sports and other co-curricular activities inorder to excel in life. He also gave away the trophies and shields for the following: overall champions: Tizu House, best march past: Tizu House, best girl athlete: Pulokali Achumi and best boy athlete: Kunal Singh Rajput.
Chairman, DiPSS, S.I Jamir; pro vice chairman of DPS Dimapur, Dr. Aotoshi; Board Member, DiPSS, Shillula and parents attended the function.
The programme started with the welcome address by principal of the school, B K Nanda followed by march past parade of the four houses – Dikhu, Milak, Tizu and Zungki.
Besides the Inter- House Competition in athletic events, Inter -House Solo Singing Competition was also conducted.
