Deputy Commissioner, Peren Vineet Kumar, has invited applicants for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation Medical Aid Scheme launched by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
According to DIPR report, the scheme which aims to provide medical aid to suffering from serious ailments like cancer or any other life threating disease including organ transplant and spinal surgery to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe whose annual family income is less than Rs. 3,00,000/-PA was rolled out in January 2024.
DC Peren further informed that the applicant, who wish to avail the scheme must apply by post in the prescribed application form or on plain paper as per details in the prescribed Performa (also available in Dr. Ambedkar Foundation website). Those eligible applicants have also been asked to submit their application to Deputy Commissioner’s Office during office hours for forwarding to the foundation.
