Dr. Ato distributes umbrellasto government School students

DIMAPUR

As part of his ongoing initiative to support and inspire students in government schools, Dr. Tseilhoutuo Ato, MLA of 9-Kohima Town Assembly Constituency, visited Government Middle School, Officers Hill, on Monday and distributed umbrellas to all students.
The distribution is part of a programme launched on June 4, through which Dr. Ato has covered 17 government schools so far, benefiting over 1,500 students.
While presenting the umbrellas, Dr. Ato told the students that the gesture symbolized protection—shielding them from rain and sun—just as leaders and society should safeguard their rights. He also shared words of encouragement drawn from his personal journey as a trained surgeon.
“It’s not the school or teachers alone that shape your future. It is you, your hard work, and your choices,” he said, urging students to uphold humility, respect for teachers and parents, and consistent effort.
Dr. Ato further emphasized that government school teachers are among the most qualified educators in the state and encouraged students to remain disciplined and committed to their studies.
