PDA’s consensus Dr Chumben Murry expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to all well-wishers for the support rendered towards his candidature and the multitudes of electorate who voted for him in the just-concluded Lok Sabha election.
In a statement, he thanked the chief minister for having the confidence on him that he could possibly represent the people of Nagaland in the Indian House of People and putting him up as the consensus candidate of the PDA.
He thanked all the legislators of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly for their support, besides the former legislators and former Assembly election candidates for having supported him. He also expressed gratitude to all rank and file of PDA and coalition partners NDPP, BJP, NCP, NPP, NPF, LJP(RV), RPI(A), JD(U)) led by their respective state presidents and high commands.
Further, Murry congratulated S Supongmeren for his victory, describing his win without a single MLA to support him as an accomplishment and a big victory. Dr Chumben said he was sure that as a seasoned politician, Supongmeren would represent the people’s needs well, and wished him all the very best.
