Dr. Jamir inaugurates Jenangsanger building

Former chief minister and governor, Dr SC Jamir, on Saturday inaugurated the commercial building of Ungma Village of Jenangsanger Telongjem, at Darogapathar, Dimapur. Addressing the gathering, Jamir considered the house as a souvenir for every members of Jenangsanger Telongjem, and urged the gathering to regard the building as a house of unity.


Dwelling on the changing of times, he appealed everyone to do away with the ego of “I am older”, “I am bigger”, and to introspect and make changes wherever necessary.
Jamir also urged the leaders to lead its members in the right path through peace and harmony, and to expand the knowledge in context with how the world was evolving.


Jamir later advocated for unity by quoting, “United we stand, divided we fall”. Also delivering a short message, NLA speaker, Sharingain Longkumer, signified the inauguration day as a historic day, owing to the inauguration being held under the presence of tall leaders, Dr SC Jamir and former minister, SI Jamir.


He also appealed the gathering to remember the seeds laid down by the forefathers, who fought for unity of today’s generation, mentioning that everyone should be able to take their blessings.
He later expressed hope that the recently inaugurated building would be a shade of blessing and unity for all villagers.


Earlier, the programme was chaired by Imti Imsong, dedicatory prayer for the building was offered by Rev Manen Longkumer and invocation by I Subong Longkumer.


Welcome address was delivered by Tatar, Temsüzenba Longkumer, short speeches by addressed by Bendang Longkumer, and executive member, Ungma Senso Telongjem Dimapur, and vote of thanks by Tatar, Alemtoshi Imsong.
