Dr. Rajkhowa receives ISA Gold Medal award

ICAR research complex for NEH region, Nagaland Centre, joint director, Dr. Dipjyoti Rajkhowa was awarded with the ISA Gold Medal 2020 by the Indian Society of Agronomy, New Delhi during the 5th International Agronomy Congress held at Pandit Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad during November 23-27.

In a press release, assistant administrative officer, ICAR research complex for NEH region, Imlimenla informed that Dr. Rajkhowa received the award for his “outstanding contribution in the field of Agronomy (farming system, weed science and climate change research).”

The Congress was attended by more than 1500 agricultural scientists in the country and other countries.

It may be mentioned that Dr. Rajkhowa was also the recipient of Fellow, Indian Society of Agronomy (2016), Fellow, Indian Society of Weed Science (2010) and Fellow, Indian Association of hill Farming (2017).

He has published 125 research papers in journals of national and international repute, 15 books, 48 book chapters and other research and extension publications. His research works and outreach activities have brought substantial improvement in the agricultural and allied sector in North East India, the release informed.
