Veteran Naga politician and former governor and chief minister Dr. S.C. Jamir, one of the signatories to the 16-Point Agreement that led to the creation of Nagaland, on the eve of his 94th birthday on October 17 made a clarion call to Nagas, to revive Christian values of love and compassion. In a reflective message, Dr. Jamir lamented the erosion of Naga values and governance failures marked by extortion, market syndicates, and gun culture. Urging unity and realism, he appealed to Nagas to uphold the 2015 Framework Agreement and 2017 “Agreed Position” to rebuild society and ensure a united, progressive future.
