Dr T Ao Trophy: KDFA team official kit launched

The official kit for Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) including two sets of jerseys, track suit and jogging shoes were launched during a ceremony at 2K hotel here on Saturday for the upcoming Dr T Ao Trophy 2022, which is scheduled to begin at Mokokchung town on April 18, 2022.
Speaking as the special guest at the launching programme, former Director General of Police (DGP) and Nagaland Veteran Football Association (NVFA) president, K Kire, congratulated the players on getting selected into the team.
Kire urged the players to be sincere, dedicated, disciplined and hardworking, saying those were the key ingredients in determining the success of a player.
He also exhorted the players to be humble when they win while gladly accept their loses and continue to push forward.
On Nagaland Football Association (NFA) attaining its 50th anniversary, Kire said it was a huge accomplishment. He disclosed that KDFA was formed before NFA and therefore the district team was also well matured now.
He also shared some of his exploits during his playing days when he was part of the Nagaland squad that won Subroto Cup and brought home the trophy, which was a first for the Northeast region.
Later, he wished the best to the team and expressed his optimism that the players would give their best during the trophy.
Earlier, KDFA senior vice president and Nagaland Football Coaches Federation (NFCF) president, Roko Angami shared about his love for football and said he had taken the sports seriously from a very young age.
Roko also urged the players to earn name and their livelihood through self-discipline and constant self-improvement.
The ceremony was compered by KDFA press secretary, Medolenuo Loucü, invocation was offered by Kohima Ao Baptist Church senior pastor, Rev Sentisashi Aier.
Welcome address was delivered by Angami Sports Association general secretary, Seyielhouvi Nagi, KDFA VP, Neidilhoutuo Sechü, introduced the players and management officials, team manager & KDFA JS-Azho Sophie shared a few words and KDFA director of referees, Viliebeizo Liezietsu proposed the vote of thanks.
The team will be led by Kevisalie Sechü as the captain and Neikethozo Yhome as the vice with Vizovor Liezietsu as team coach, Visakholie Medoze as assistant coach, Azho Sophie as team manager, Zakietuolie Khrodi as assistant manager and Zakielatuo Seletsu as team physio.
