Dr. Tinojongshi takes over as DC Dimapur; Ramnikant as DC Kohima

Dr.Tinojongshi Chang on Monday took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur while Kumar Ramnikant assumed the charge of Kohima. A DIPR report informed that the district administration welcomed Dr. Tinojongshi at the farewell programme organised in honour of the outgoing DC Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal and Revenue Officer, Thejavizo Nakhro in the conference hall of DC Dimapur.


Dr.Tinojongshi Chang sought the cooperation of all the officers and civil societies for working together in order to make Dimapur a better place to live in. Outgoing DC, Sachin Jaiswal in his speech said recalled his stint as DC in three districts of Nagaland but termed Dimapur as a different place where he gained lot of knowledge towards his professional career.


Jaiswal thanked the officers, NGOs and the people of Dimapur for their love and cooperation rendered towards him. He has been promoted as Commissioner of Taxes. Speaking on behalf of District Administration, ADC Dimapur, Mhalo Humstoe described the outgoing DC as a smart, intelligent, young and dynamic administrator.

She further noted the quality of emotional intelligence was what set him apart from the other administrative officers. His stint as DC Dimapur was short but very impactful, Mhalo added.


ADC also acknowledged the talent of outgoing RO DImapur and lauded the matured approach of the officer for any issues. Commissioner Police Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie who spoke on behalf of the district officers described Sachin as a responsible and a composed person who worked with a clear conscience. Sophie also welcomed the incoming DC Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang behalf of the district officers and assured to render support and work collectively.


Several speakers including president, Naga Council Dimapur on behalf of NGOs, Business Association of Nagaland, DUCCF, president Indian Red cross society and Dimapur Chamber of Commerce, Head DB on behalf of Dobashis and UDA, Repachiba on behalf of staff spoke at the farewell program describing the outgoing DC as an abled and approachable administrator.


Nungshisangla Longkumer enthralled the gathering with a special rendition. UDA Shiluinla invoked God’s blessings while SDO (C) Yanthungbemo Kikon proposed the vote of thanks.


Ramnikant assumes charge of Kohima

Kumar Ramnikant, who will be taking over as new Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, was welcomed by outgoing DC Kohima, Shanavas C in DC’s Office Chamber Kohima on October 16.


Meanwhile, Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting- cum-farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Shanavas C, at DPDB’s Conference Hall, Kohima.


Shanavas C, in his speech, thanked all the district officers from various departments and the people of Kohima district for the unflinching support during his tenure. He said that it was through the untiring efforts given by the officers as a team that many important events and development activities could be managed smoothly and achieved successfully.


Mentioning that Nagaland still needed progress and development in many areas, Shanavas urged the members to be more sincere and dedicated in executing their duties with meritocracy. He also encouraged the officers to be firm and wise while taking decisions and to not compromise with the adversaries. He said that the best was yet to come and asked the members to cooperate with the incoming DC to move forward.


Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, MLA who also spoke on the occasion acknowledged the outgoing DC for his selfless services rendered to the district and expressed optimistic to work more closely together in the days to come.
On behalf of the district officers, short speeches were also delivered by Rokovisa Chase, Dy. Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Kohima and T. Lanusenla Longkumer, administrator, KMC, where both the officers described the outgoing Deputy Commissioner as one of the best Deputy Commissioners, who understood the locals, humble, sincere, and supportive in executing and managing the district affairs.


The farewell programme was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rhosietho Nguori, EAC Kohima, Moasunep Jingru presented a special number. Earlier, in the DPDB meeting, chaired by DC & Vice Chairman DPDB Kohima, Shanavas C reviewed the last meeting minutes.
