Dimapur Rongmei Baptist Church (DRBC), K. Sachu Colony celebrated its silver jubilee on the theme “Proclaim God’s Faithfulness” on December 15 with Nagaland Baptist Churches Council (NBCC) general secretary, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho as the minister.
In his sermon, Dr. Zelhou emphasised on the Holy scriptures of Isaiah 9:2 and encouraged the church that the light had dawned and since the people had seen the light, there they were no more people of darkness.
He exhorted that they were called to dwell and walk as the people of light.
Stressing on the theme, he expounded the congregation that God had nothing to do with colour and size of the church as these aspects did not determine Christian maturity.
The matter of Christian maturity lies on how much the church shares and proclaims the Gospel–God’s love and His faithfulness, Dr. Zelhou stated.
Earlier, the reverend also unveiled and dedicated the jubilee monolith.
The jubilee was attended by delegates from more than 16 Rongmei Churches from the state.
Earlier, Rongmei Baptist Church Association executive secretary, Pouh Mathiuthai Gonmei released the jubilee souvenir.
