DRDA Mon releases booklet on COVID-19

District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Mon on August 5, released a translated booklet on standard operating procedure (SOP) for COVID-19 containment & management in Peri-urban, rural and tribal areas.

According to a DIPR report, ADC Mon, Y. Chingak Konyak released the Konyak translated booklet at the resource centre, DRDA Mon. 

During the programme, Chingak congratulated the team and expressed hope that the booklet would help the public to get themselves protected. Expressing concern over the pandemic hitting hard in rural areas, DRDA Mon, project director M. Temjen Longchar said that the states were directed to translate the existing booklets into regional dialects.

He highlighted the process involved in translation and expressed gratitude to all those responsible in making the challenge a success.

He informed that along with the booklet, four major poster including one with benefits of vaccination were translated into Konyak. Temjen Longchar also said that Mon district was the first to release the translated booklet. 

Earlier, the programme was chaired by PO, DRDA, Mon, Y. Manching Konyak, dedicatory prayer was said by KBCM Mon Pastor, M. Nahngom Konyak while vote of thanks was delivered by DPO, DRDA Mon, T. Manhom Konyak.
