Combined team of Kohima police, Sechü (Zubza) and A/14 NAP (IR) while conducting MVCP duty at NH-29 on May 26 intercepted one Manipur bound Tata winger (MN-04A-7867) and recovered two bags containing 58,000 capsules of banned Spasmo-Proxyvon drugs worth Rs.5, 80,000 in black market.
According to sub-divisional police officer & PRO Atu Zumvü, two persons identified as one Hafijudin (28), son of Farizuddin from Kshetrigao Awang Leikai (B), Imphal East, Manipur and Syed Aliya Hassan, son of Abdul Salam from Lilong Chaobok Mairenkhul, Thoubal district, Manipur were arrested on charges of possessing and transporting banned drugs.
In this connection, a regular case vide Kohima Sechü(Zubza) P.S was registered against the two accused for further investigation, said Kohima police PRO.
