A person identified as one Zouvei (18 yrs) s/o Thejao of Kohima village was knocked down by an Alto car bearing registration no. DL 96M 4155 (LXI) silver colour on Wednesday around 7 p.m. near Marcofed gas service High School Road Kohima. The accused driver one Mezhüzetuo (19) s/o Vikhoto of Dihoma village was arrested and kept under police the custody. According to sources the accused person was reportedly drunk at the time of accident and was driving the car at a high speed and hit the victim who was walking beside the road.
The victim was later admitted at Oking hospital Kohima and his condition could not be ascertained at the time of filing of this report.
