DSC concerned over rise in dengue cases

The Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) has expressed concern over the steep rise in dengue cases in Dimapur area and appealed to the district administration and medical authorities to take necessary steps at the earliest to deal with the outbreak.

Dimapur Sumi Council president Shikuto Yeptho and information & publicity secretary V Tokuto Zhimomi in a statement said most hospitals were full of dengue cases and the common public was facing hardships.

DSC said that many students were also unable to attend their classes because of being infected with dengue. They reminded the authorities that they had a responsibility towards the health and wellbeing of the public.

They appealed to the authorities to decontaminate or antisepticize the localities that had reported high cases of the dengue before it took a more serious turn.
