DSSU appeals DMC to check price hikes

Dimapur Sumi Students’ union (DSSU) has urged the Dimapur municipal council (DMC) to address the price hikes. In a press release, DSSU president L Kivipu Shohe and finance secretary Holloto Yeptho stated that despite DCCI statement on hoardings by business establishments, daily essential commodities continued to skyrocket including selling of products beyond prescribed MRP on the pretext of pandemic creating panic among the people. Appreciating the responsibility shouldered by DMC during the pandemic, DSSU has requested the office to intervene and restore confidence for the cause of general public.
