Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has lauded the commendable work undertaken by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) under the leadership of its administrator, H Atokhe Aye, for initiating developmental work in Dimapur municipal area particularly in improving the pathetic road condition and cleaning of drainages.
In a press release, DSSU vice president Akuto Yeptho and the finance secretary Kakiho A Awomi expressed surprised to learn that all developmental activities were executed from revenues collected out of DMC tool tax for the month of January 2015. The Union said it was first of its kind in the history of DMC that such admirable act of infrastructure development was taken up out of revenue collection.
The Union hoped that DMC would continue development work in the future for the interest of public. It has further appealed to all citizens to extend cooperation to DMC in their endeavour for the development.
