DSSU condemns alleged rape of minor girl in Dmu

Dimapur Sümi Students’ Union (DSSU) has condemned the alleged rape of a five year-old girl by a 55 year-old man, a permanent resident of Tening under Peren district and presently residing at half Nagarjan, Dimapur on March 19.

DSSU president, Vitopu Ayemi and general secretary, Vitoka N Rochill said the union was utterly stunned after learning about the hideous crime of rape committed. Condemning the “ghastly act,” the union said that such type of “abominable person” was not worthy of calling himself a human. Further, DSSU urged the law enforcement officers to investigate the matter and deliver justice. The union expressed hope that the law enforcers would deliver proper judgement as deemed to the accused.
